Hi! I’m Maya, a graphic designer based in New York City with a background in marketing, branding and sponsorship.

I am student at the Pratt Institute pursuing my MFA in Communication Design. I am interested in branding; print, editorial, and layout design; packaging; and illustration. I am always seeking new ways to push my creative boundaries.

Baap Reh! | studio ethos

Baap reh is a Hindi expression of astonishment, similar to “oh my god” in English.

The connotation of the phrase is of something you might say to a child showing you a new skill — a loving mix of shock, delight, and bemusement.

It serves as a beacon to me to strive to elicit surprise and joy at my designs, and a reminder not to take myself too seriously.
